ITINERARY
The trail starts at Ribeira Funda, on the north coast of São Miguel Island. Start by walking through a forest of cryptomeria and exotic vegetation, where you may have the chance to spot some bird species. Cross the stream and continue the walk along which you can enjoy the panoramic views over the north of the island. Follow the trail that will take you to the beautiful waterfall next to Viola beach.
