6 Days Lemosho Route Climbing
The Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro Climbing is a 6-day journey that begins at Londorossi Gate and ends at the Forest Camp. The route involves 19-24 hours of demanding walking at extremely high elevation, with only 4-6 hours of sleep. The itinerary includes four days of trekking, including the first camp at Londorossi Gate, the second camp at Shira Camp I, the third camp at Shira Camp II, the fourth camp at Barranco Camp, the fifth camp at Barranco Camp, the sixth camp at Barafu Camp, and the final camp at Uhuru Peak.
The journey begins with a 4-hour hike to Londorossi Gate, followed by a 10-hour hike to Shira Camp I and a 8 hour hike to Barranco Camp. The route then continues to Shira Camp II, Lava Tower, Arrow Glacier, Barranco Camp, and Barafu Camp. The final camp at Barafu Camp offers views of the summit from various angles.
The final day of the climb is the ascent to the summit between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers, where the ascent is challenging but rewarding. The summit is at Stella Point, where the sunrise is spectacular. The descent to Mweka Hut camp is challenging, with mist or rain expected in the late afternoon. The final day is at Mweka Camp, where the climbers receive Mount Kilimanjaro summit certificates.
