Unspoiled nature of Lake Skadar
Explore the largest lake in Balkan Peninsula. Lake Skadar is wildlife hot spot, swamp of international significance and one of the largest bird reserves in Europe. Lake is home to 270 species of birds, among them pelicans which became the symbol of the lake, but also seagulls, herons and other. Where you find birds, you also find fish. Lake Skadar is abundant in fish, especially carp, bleak and eel. It is also rich in culture as it has been inhabited for centuries as depicted by the stone ruins all around it!
