Bhutan Trekking
Trekking in the Himalayas.
Trekking in Bhutan is an experiential journey in the stunning natural beauty and the relatively isolated nature of Bhutan. The undisturbed and unexplored natural environment and the fabulous landscape present heaven and an insight into the serenity and beauty of the wilderness most people only read about. Almost all of the trek is renowned for its pristine natural trail per excellence with a breathtaking range of endless Himalayan landscapes. Whether you are looking for a day hike or a grueling 31-day adventure, Bhutan has it all.
All individual or group trekkers will be equipped with a guide, a cook, and horsemen. The horses will carry all the provisions and heavy luggage. The cook and the horseman will travel ahead of the group to prepare the campsite and meals for the trekkers. Trekkers will be accommodated in comfortable tents which are suitable for harsh weather conditions. During meal times a buffet of appetizing dishes and snacks will be prepared for our trekkers.
There are different treks to suit different abilities and interests. Treks range from short low altitude treks to arduous climbs of thirteen thousand feet like the legendary Lunana snowman trek which will take you over three of Bhutan’s highest mountains. Altitude sickness is a serious problem and proper precautions should be taken by trekkers attempting to trek in the Himalayas. The most strenuous treks in the northern regions are as high as 5500 meters and should be challenged only by experienced and fit walkers.
