Nkuringo Safaris
Africa Cultural Experience in Uganda & Rwanda
Other than the unmatched experience of looking into a gorilla's eyes, our gorilla trips include the local personal experience. We take the traveler to meet the locals the have lived around the (currently) protected forest in harmony with wild animals for centuries. We allow the guest to get deep into the region’s cultures, hiking, to take walks, or visiting a local home. That way, we get to give back to the communities and people who live around the gorilla sanctuaries that help protect the mountain gorillas' well-being.

The most captivating of our jungle trips is the intense guided hike across Bwindi Impenetrable Impenetrable forest through two of the country’s oldest forest trails; Kashasha river trail (7 km) and Ivy trail (4 km). The locals have used these trails for thousands of years, connecting the southern (Nkuringo) to the northern (Buhoma) towns on the Impenetrable jungle’s edge. They place you in the center of one of Africa's oldest and most endowed forest jungles. The experience is one of the most liked among our guests.

Travelers can choose between the lengthy road trip between the International Airport in Uganda to Bwindi National Park or a comfortable, light aircraft flight. The difference is the price, but they are both exhilarating. For the Rwanda side, a road trip is relatively short, making a fly-in not necessary.

For your safety on this trip, you'll require a negative PCR test certificate (with/without vaccination) issued not more than 72 hours before your trip. Wearing a mask is compulsory in public places. Temperature checks and hand sanitization are carried out at stops anywhere on this trip. We vet all the properties you'll be staying in for COVID-19 operating procedures, and we recommend less contact to keep you safe.
