On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the world’s leading B2B tourism trade show brought together around 97,000 participants from numerous source and destination markets. Despite the tense situation in the Middle East — which partly resulted in limited flight connections — the leading global tourism trade show once again demonstrated how important trust, international cooperation, and personal encounters are within the industry.
Due to a one-time adjustment in the schedule, the next ITB Berlin will take place from March 16–18, 2027.
In total, 5,601 exhibitors from 166 countries presented their offerings at ITB Berlin. During the three trade visitor days, around 97,000 participants from across the world attended the event to hold intensive discussions, strengthen networks, and advance business relationships.
Despite partially limited flight connections due to the Middle East conflict, visitor numbers were almost at the same level as the previous year. This highlights the strong relevance of ITB Berlin as a leading international trade show, particularly in challenging times.
At the same time, it demonstrates how valuable personal contact, direct conversations, and immediate exchangeremain for the industry — especially when orientation, trust, and partnerships are more important than ever.
The high quality of meetings and the strong intention to return — with around 90% of visitors planning to attend again— underline the continued international appeal of the world’s leading tourism trade show in its anniversary year.
Strong Economic Impact

“Even in its anniversary year, ITB Berlin brought markets together, enabled discussions about shared perspectives, and demonstrated — especially during times of geopolitical tensions, particularly in the Middle East — its importance for international exchange and cooperation,” explains Dr. Mario Tobias, CEO of Messe Berlin.
“As a reflection of the industry, it provided a reliable framework where contacts could be established, ideas exchanged, and business opportunities initiated.”
